WHAT: A weekend of joyful, soulful and spirit lifting singing. We will sing a mix of Coco's songs and cover songs; focusing on folk, blues, jazz and soul music. Songs will be taught by ear. Coco will also lead participants in call and response, circle singing, jazz scatting, and other explorations of music in the moment. Participants will have opportunities to improvise, collaborate, explore harmony, rhythm, creativity, and gain greater trust in their own voice and musicality.

WHEN: Friday, Aug 23 - Sunday, Aug 25, 2024. Full schedule TBA. You can expect programmed activities to begin Friday evening at 7pm, continue Saturday through the daytime and evening, and then wrap up by Sunday at 1pm.

WHERE: The Harmony Centre - 890 4th Ave E - Owen Sound, Ontario. This is an amazing community space with great acoustics.

WHO: Anyone who loves to sing is invited to take part. This weekend gathering is mostly intended for adults. Teens are also welcome. :)

HOW: Advance registration required. The cost is $150 for the full 3 day immersive singing experience. All participants will be responsible for their own meals and accommodations.

Meals: The Harmony Centre is located right downtown near many restaurants, cafes, a farmers market, and a full grocery store can be found just 4 blocks away. Ample break time will be built in to find food, rest our voices, explore and recharge.

Accommodations: Owen Sound has many airBnB, camping, Bed&Breakfast, motel and hotel options.

All registrants will be invited to join the Wonderland Singers private Facebook group. From there you will be able to connect to find carpooling options and suggest roommate sharing of airBnBs and hotel rooms.

After making the purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. You can also expect update emails with further information as the weekend approaches. (The full weekend singing schedule will be shared as well as a map of downtown with restaurant suggestions, directions to some nearby hiking trails and other details.)
